Color has arrived in full force if you haven’t already made your plans to get to the U.P. it will soon be to late for you to see the fall color in all it’s glory. Leaves will be and are already starting to fall off the trees from the winds over the weekend and on Monday. We came out pretty good with leaf loss after this, if there was rain it would be a lot more leaf loss.
There is a lot of great color out there to be found less along the Lake Michigan and Lake Superior shorelines but more on the interior portions across the Upper Peninsula.
Places like the Porkies, Sugarloaf, Mission hill, Millie Hill, Mount Zion, Wolf Mountain, Brockway Mountain drive, Tahquamenon falls have been seeing more people by the day during the last couple weeks.
This weekend will most likely be the busiest so plan accordingly and plan to travel a few hundred miles to find the best colors as some areas will be past peak and others may still have some time to go, but overall this week will have awesome color and into the next week to week and a half there will still be colors in some areas.
