With the rain and slightly cooler temps we have slowed down a little on color change in most places across the UP. Based on what I have seen this last week in my travels has left me with a good feeling that color should be pretty bright this year across the UP.
Over the next couple weeks we shouldn’t see any quick changes in color. Temps look to be slightly above average and rain looks to be normal for the UP for this time of the year.
Precipitation at my Tamarack location weather station is 3 inches less than last year. Data from June 1- Aug 19th period. So we are a bit more dry in the Copper Country but I haven’t compared any other area in precipitation but I hope to get a bit of data this coming week for other areas of the UP.
