Snow has returned, but as soon as it came it may leave as warmer temps arrive, most areas in the NW snowbelts should be able to maintain at least 1 or 2 inches on the ground to give them a White Christmas, other areas not will most likely be looking at grass and lots of grey. A White Christmas is defined as having at least 1 inches of snow on the ground on Christmas according the the NWS.
Most areas saw 1-3 inches of snow, with some of the higher totals coming out of the areas east from Bruce Crossing and a few non-official reports of 4-5 inches near Ironwood and Bergland.
Today I did the LIVE at 5 Top 10 Snowiest Places in the UP video if you want to watch it on facebook just click the link. I will be uploading the video on the FunintheUP Youtube page tonight or tomorrow.
There isn’t a lot to talk about this winter so far, hopefully that will change soon, but probably not until the first week of January.
If you are seeking snow you’ll have to head out west or upstate NY where they are getting plenty. I think areas of northern MN are even getting more than us this year.
Paying subscribers make it possible for me to do these snow reports, videos, and live drives. Please consider becoming a paid subscriber so I can drive more often away from the Keweenaw and do more snow reports. Thanks so much for your support.
Also if you aren’t already I would ask you please subscribe to the FunintheUP Youtube channel
