Well after a good week of snowfall one of the best weeks of snow for a few years that we have seen especially in the Western UP and Keweenaw. Now that everyone has dug out by now it is onward to some warmer temperatures for the remainder of the week. There may be a snow flurry here or there during the evenings as temps drop and the sun goes down. The beginning of the month looks to be warmer than normal with some rain showers across much of the UP right after New Years. Overall the lookout over the next 10-15 days looks to be above normal temperatures so snowfall outlook is not looking good, if we don’t see a good January snowfall you can usually forget in seeing that 300 inch mark. Also January and February are usually the months where hotels are usually booked with snowmobilers. We shall see what happens we can only take it day by day really, anything can happen from now into next week.
