Herman and Calumet (Calumet lake) became the latest to join the 100 Inch Club.

Snow has returned for a few days but now it will only be a few flurries here and there the next 3 or 4 days. We will see a slight warm up on Tuesday and Wednesday with some mid 30s and possible low 40s on Wednesday. Ridging we will see after this weekend will start will bring us that warm weather for a couple days. Don’t freak out yet though those who love winter and think winter is over, Thursday and Friday we should see some troughing that should shift south over the eastern US from Hudson Bay, you know what this means don’t ya, LAKE EFFECT SNOW!
Now I know there is the I will believe it when I see it crowd, that is how I feel a lot of times. I am pretty confident this will bring us some significant snowfall into the weekend, at the least in the amounts we have just seen the last couple days. It is possible we could see some rain before snow on Wedesday and Thursday and maybe some mixed precipitation before the lake effect kicks in. Does anyone else dislike rain in February and early March, but it’s been that kind of year I suppose.
So enjoy the slight gradual warming after Sunday into early next week. I’ll keep an eye out on developments for more snow this coming week. A little break in the action, but don’t put away those snow shovels yet.
Tomorrow and Monday I am going to be starting to write the next UP Adventure Guide post for the hike I went on last Sunday. Stay tuned.
