Well if you wanted more snow you got your wish, I know there’s people who do the daily “snow dance”, we all know it’s possible to see snow into early May every year. This season it has seemed that most of our snow has come in waves of 2-5 days with warm ups between since our first storm in the middle of October. Next big storm to look out for is almost annual St. Patty’s Day storm.
We won’t know what the storm totals are until tomorrows update but it was kind of a mixed bag to start the morning with only White city, Iron Mtn, Escanaba, and areas to Gladstone standing out for the first day. I am assuming that these areas should be some of the higher storm total amounts when tomorrow is added in, but we shall see. When I was out along Lake Superior tonight along Keweenaw Bay the winds were already starting to shift to the North and the NE lake effect was coming to an end over the Huron Mountains and Skanee area. When I got back into Houghton area the lake effect was coming down about 1/4” to a 1/2 per hour. However I am not sure it will add up to much as it appears that winds will start slowing down a bit in the early morning cutting off any significant lake effect snow.
