2 Days Left to Enter the Guess the Snowfall Contest for a chance to WIN 2 Tours for 2 people in Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula.
Tours provided by Upper Peninsula Tours and Keweenaw Boat Tours
Hope everyone is getting settled in with the cooler weather.
Lake effect snow fell off overnight and didn’t amount to much more than what fell yesterday. A few places across the northern east part of the Upper Peninsula had a bit more. Lake effect snow bands set up late afternoon yesterday, overall pretty week upper air dynamics with a weak cold air advection made for small amounts of lake effect snow.
Look for this week to taper off, Wednesday looks to be the snowiest of the weekdays, still light snow totals and snow should remain on the dry side.

Looking out for the 5-10 day it appears we may see a little snow on the 3rd or 4th, be surprised if we see much more than 1 or 2 inches out of the shortwave Sunday into Monday. The bigger system moving in to watch right now is around the 7-9th which may bring some higher snow totals, perhaps biggest we’ve seen so far this season. I’ll be watching it this week.
Look for more videos and live drives through this winter on facebook page and also on youtube channel.
Top 10 Snowiest Places in the UP LIVE on Facebook will return this coming Monday, most likely at 5pm like I have done them in years past.
Snow totals for Nov 27th below. Snow Totals and other weather info will be sent out to paying subscribers first then updated on funintheup.com 5-7 days later.
Paying subscribers make it possible for me to do these snow reports, videos, and live drives. Please consider becoming a paid subscriber so I can drive more often away from the Keweenaw and do more snow reports.
Also if you aren’t already I would ask you please subscribe to the FunintheUP Youtube channel
