Snow has been light with no significant snow storms to write about. The cold weather is back in the Upper Peninsula with temps reaching single digits and negative the last couple days. The Keweenaw will most likely see the most snowfall the next couple days with other areas of the UP not seeing much but a few flurries. This month has been a pretty disappointing month of snowfall, one of the lowest for January for many places in the UP, if it ends up being a record low not sure as I haven’t done any research on the data to see if it is close at any location.
Herman snow station has been catching up with Tamarack location and as of today they are only about 0.6 inches apart from most snow in the UP as of January 27th snowfall. They are both about 20 inches higher than the next closest stations.
Snowfall totals listed below are grouped into 2 sections for the last few days.
