Sunshine today, oh how so refreshing to see the sun with mostly clear blue sky for most of the late morning into the mid afternoon hours, it was nice while it lasted.
Well the cold is the talk of the week and if you’ve been in the Keweenaw the fresh 10-18 inches of fresh powder the last couple days. Look for the snow to start back up late tonight into tomorrow afternoon with another 5-10 inches expected in much of the same zones as the last couple days.
Ice coverage on Lake Superior bumped up to 8.21% from 6.27% yesterday and look for it to increase into the double digits tomorrow.
I went out to snowshoe with a friend today and help him pank down a snowshoe trail. Tomorrow I will try to put up a post about the adventure here for you to read.
I will be adding adventures to this substack for you to read so that you can find fun adventures that you might want to partake in the Upper Peninsula. I have been thinking for years that I wanted to write a book on my adventures along with my photography, maybe at some time in the near future I will do that, but there’s a lot of work that goes into that so I will see the engagement that the substack gets with posting of these adventures.
Anyway you’ll find the snow totals below, most was in the Keweenaw, very little anywhere else in the UP.
I did a 2 day snowfall total on the left for the Keweenaw snow stations.
