Thank you all for subscribing and an extra special thank you to those are who are paid subscribers which allows me to travel 40 miles a day measuring 6 snowfall stations and bring these snow totals and reports to you. I am just shy of measuring 1000 inches for this season, I currently sit at 995.7 inches of snow measured for 2022/23. Last year I measured 1381.1 inches of snow, so we will need about 4 more good snow storms to equal what we had last year.
Sorry that I haven’t gotten to the snow updates and haven’t done much posting on social media lately either. Last week Friday night I had to go to the ER with some symptoms that were similar to a heart attack and kidney stones. I won’t go into any more than that, but everything is ok and all my health checks came out A ok and was let go a few hours later. I took it easy this week and haven’t been xc skiing or snowshoeing, nor doing much except taking a few pictures here and there. A couple nights ago I was out taking pictures of the sunset, clear starry night sky, and Northern Lights, some images below.
I am back on the mend and ready for the storm coming on Friday and Saturday. Honestly I really don’t want what is coming, it is going to be wet snow, it is going to be heavy snow and sloppy on the roads. I am sure there will be plenty of people finding the ditch with this heavy wet snow, so if you are out and must drive, be careful, put a shovel in your vehicle, and some kitty litter or a bucket of sand in case you get stuck somewhere.

Along with today’s snow update I have included a few images from the 13th when I was out photographing the sunset and night sky this week. One is of the constellation of Orion and a few from the Northern Lights that night. The sky was so amazing and clear you could see every start in the universe but it was also zero degrees which I didn’t even know until I got back in the vehicle.
Most of the Upper Peninsula should get a nice dose of heavy wet snow by the time Sunday comes around.
