Back to winter for the rest of this week. I was just getting used to the warmer temps and seeing the grass, I guess I’ll have to wait until April. Up here in the Keweenaw we still have about 20 inches on the ground so I guess it will be here for a little while yet. The snow elsewhere across the UP had already melted except for in the deep woods with tree cover where there were still some patches of snow.

This week we will see some light lake effect snowfall, most of it being on Wednesday and then a little on Friday. It won’t add up to much more than a few inches at most. It will be a little windy along the shores of Lake Superior those days as well so hold onto your hats, or perhaps get in some wave watching if that’s your thing.

Look for a little snow early next week as well but it might be coming in from the east and south east so places like the southern eastern UP and areas near Marquette and Big Bay may see more snow than the western UP.

Winter isn’t over yet, but it sure was nice to have the sunshine and 50s and low 60s for a little bit, I guess we will have to wait a little longer for it to settle in yet.
