Miles driven Week 9: 1055 miles
Total Miles through week 8: 3005 miles
Gallons of gas used up to week 9: 215gallons
U.P. Wide Overall Color Change - 25%-70%
Color has really started popping now. There is going to be some big differences this year between first peak and last peak across the Upper Peninsula. There is great color already in much of the Upper Peninsula especially from higher elevations west of Marquette, to the Keweenaw, and over to the Ironwood area, basically the Western UP. Eastern UP there is good color starting too but things are about a week behind the Western UP and Keweenaw. The best fall color adventures are when you plan on coming up for a few days to get in as much fall color as possible, and take some backroads, the overlooks are nice but I really love the backwoods and those less traveled roads where the color just surrounds you.
